1. Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm a CrossFit loving, mum of 1 who has worked in Marketing since graduating from University in a range of roles, both agency side and in-house.

2. What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day involves an early start, coffee, a dog walk and a school drop off, all before 8am. My working day starts after this, where I tend to check industry news alongside my emails. Most mornings are filled with meetings, both internal and external - afternoons I try to keep to 'get stuff done' this changes daily though. Then we are back on pick up, dinner and bed!

3. What inspired you to become a marketeer?

I was always interested in magazines and am a real marketers dream in terms of easily led with ads and promotions. From that i wanted to study the theory behind this and this has led to a degree in Business Management, where lots of theory was learnt. However in all honestly I have mainly learnt on the job. Lots of roles, lots of different sectors.

4. What’s one lesson from studying marketing that has really stayed with you?

The 7 Ps - even though I don't feel like I use it everyday I really do. The Marketing Mix is the grounds of everything we do, even though its adapted through time and trends.

5. What’s one of your favourite projects you’ve worked on?

There are so many, but a few that come to mind are:

  • Working with 02 on a campaign to put 5G onto the underground
  • The rebrand of Adactus to three rocks
  • And currently moving across to a fully Saas business with three rocks

6. What’s a current trend in the hospitality marketing industry that you love?

Personalised, people first experiences driven by data and AI, we can now access and analyse more data than ever and this is enable a much more personalised experience with guests.

7. How would your team describe you in three words?

Driven | Collaborative | Proactive

8. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Everyone makes mistakes, learn from them but don't let them eat you away. You'll remember it tomorrow, maybe next week, but you wont remember it next year!

9. What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?

I left a stable role in house for a healthcare provider to join a startup marketing agency. It was a whirlwind, I learnt alot, and wouldn't change it.

10. What’s one small change that would massively improve your working life?

More face to face time with the team and within the industry.
